A previous week. I'm looking for information on the BumGenius 4.0 Pocket Cloth Diaper - Snap - Grasshopper - One Size, so i have to tell.
bumgenius has almost caught up with FuzziBuns with the introduction of the new version 4.0. all things that made the far superior FuzziBuns, BumGenius borrowed for this design. the availability of means of shots that you can use diapers for a second child (the last not velcro on velcro tabs of any brand-do not get VELCRO) and active babies do not rip them snap diapers (their disputes in the shoot, of course, is why some people like velcro-but not so great when they choose velcro tearing out and do their business on the rug). the biggest improvement is the replaceable elastic-something FuzziBuns introduced a while back. This is the number one reason that my old cloth diapers "pooped" out (and I mean that in oh so many ways). Thus, the remaining differences (and here I'm talking about the latest versions of both-November 2010): I think FuzziBuns are softer and remain softer after washing. I think BumGenius stay longer dry for longer. I think BumGenius are better for older children (the FuzziBuns fits my ginourmous second child well yet, but I wonder exactly what's going to happen when he is 3, since it weighs almost 30 pounds and is not yet 1). I think BumGenius are much harder to wash (the Pocket has a end flap. When using BumGenius sprayer-which BTW rocks-all the POO is captured in the Pocket. If you spray towards the closed end of the Pocket, the water enters, but takes forever to drain so my wash bucket gets full of water and the liner BumGenius "waterproof" at the end of. FuzziBuns spray out much easier, no poop goes into your pocket, and doesn't hold much water) and tend to keep longer smell (they need to be stripped more often). with the new 4.0 version, I think the difference is mostly preference-but I'm sticking with FuzziBuns as my primary diaper.
